Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) - RM20 Rebate on Maxis or Hotlink Bill with Direct Debit Services with Mastercard® (“Campaign”)

    1. This Campaign: If you are a Maxis Postpaid or Hotlink Postpaid customer, enjoy a RM20 rebate on your Maxis or Hotlink bill (“Rebate”) if you enable Maxis Direct Debit Services with your Mastercard® card.
    2. You: Person(s) signing up for this Campaign.
    3. Campaign Period: 15 July 2024 00:00:00 – 14 July 2025 11:59:59 (both dates inclusive), or upon full redemption of the Rebates, whichever is the earlier.
    4. This Campaign and use of the Service(s) is subject to:
      1. the General Terms & Conditions (at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/personal/general/maxis-consumer/) for Maxis Postpaid customers or the General T&C for Hotlink Consumer (at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/) for Hotlink Postpaid customers (collectively “GTC”); 
      2. this SSTC; 
      3. the Maxis Direct Debit Services Terms and Conditions (at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-direct-debit-services/) (“DDS T&C”); and
      4. any other applicable terms and conditions (all available at www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/ for Maxis Postpaid customers or https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/ for Hotlink Postpaid customers).
    5. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
    6. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and the DDS T&C, shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) this SSTC; (b) DDS T&C; and (c) GTC.
    7. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, this Campaign and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on this Campaign (at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/tnc/personal/ or https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/), including changes to the Agreement. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you are entitled to terminate your paticipation under this Campaign in accordance with the Agreement by giving us notice within fifteen (15) Working Days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes. Save where terminated in accordance with the Agreement, any continued participation of this Campaign (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of the Agreement and/or this Campaign) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same.
    1. You are eligible to sign up for this Campaign if you:
      1. are currently a Maxis Postpaid or Hotlink Postpaid customer;
      2. have a valid Mastercard® credit card or debit card;
      3. are a resident of Malaysia;
      4. are at least 18 years of age;
      5. must not have enabled the Maxis Direct Debit Services before;
      6. do not have any outstanding payments with us; and
      7. are not a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber,(“Eligible Participant”).
    2. Notwithstanding the above, Maxis reserves the right to change the eligibility criteria for this Campaign from time to time.
    1. This Campaign is by invitation only and subject to your status check result which include your payment history.
    2. Eligible Participants will receive SMS notification or push notification on Maxis app /Hotlink app to notify on this Campaign.
    3. Eligible Participants must use the Maxis app /Hotlink app to join this Campaign:
      1. For Hotlink Postpaid customers:
        1. Log in to Hotlink app and click on ‘Bill’ at the top-left on Home page.
        2. Click ‘Direct debit’, turn ‘ON’ to enable direct debit.
        3. At the Payment details page, fill in your email address. Under ‘Select Payment’, click on ‘Pay with debit or credit card’ and insert your 16-digit Mastercard® number, expiry date and CVV number. Click continue.
        4. You will be directed to the confirmation page of your issuing bank and receive an OTP or TAC on your registered mobile number. Insert the OTP on the confirmation page and continue, or approve the transaction via SecureTAC.
        5. After successful completion, you will be shown a confirmation page and be automatically redirected to your ‘Direct debit’ page shown with registered card with the last 4-digit.
      2. For Maxis Postpaid customers
        1. Log in to Maxis app and go to ‘Bill’  tab and click on your account.
        2. Click ‘Direct Debit’, turn ‘ON’ to enable direct debit. Under ‘Card Details’, click ’Card no’ to register direct debit.
        3. At the Payment details page, fill in your email address. Under ‘Select Payment’, click on ‘Pay with debit or credit card’ and insert your 16-digit Mastercard® number, expiry date and CVV number. Click continue.
        4. You will be directed to the confirmation page of your issuing bank and receive an OTP/TAC to your registered mobile number. Insert the OTP/TAC on the confirmation page and continue, or approve the transaction via SecureTAC.
        5. After successful completion, you will be shown a confirmation page and be automatically redirected to your ‘Direct debit’ page shown with registered card with the last 4-digit.
    4. To be entitled to the Rebate, you must (a) participate in the Campaign in accordance with this SSTC; (b) ensure that you are on Maxis Direct Debit Services (set to pay with a Mastercard® credit card or debit card); and (c) ensure that a payment of your Maxis/Hotlink bill is successfully made via Maxis Direct Debit Services as per Clause 13(b)  (“Successful Participant”).
    1. Each Successful Participant can only be entitled to ONE (1) Rebate, which will be split equally into 2 parts (i.e. RM10 x 2) and credited to the Successful Participant’s bill in the next two (2) billing cycle once you are entitled to the Reward (in accordance with Clause 13 above). You will not be entitled to the Rebate (in full or in part) If you disable your Mastercard® card on Maxis Direct Debit Services prior to the Rebate being credited (in full or in part) to your bill.
    2. The Rebate is limited to Fifty Thousand (50,000) Successful Participants only, on a “first come, first-served” basis during the Campaign Period. The Campaign Period will cease once the Rebate has been fully redeemed or at the expiration of the Campaign Period, whichever is earlier.
    1. Maxis shall not be liable to you or any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by you or such other party as a result of participation or non-participation in the Campaign or as a result of any act or omission on Maxis’ part.
    2. Maxis is not an agent, subsidiary or affiliate of Mastercard® (and its group entities) and hence, Maxis (a) makes no representation or warranties as to the quality, merchantability, fitness of Mastercard®’s products and services; and (b) shall not be liable for any loss and damages suffered by you from the use of the Mastercard® products and services for the participation of this Campaign.
    3. Maxis’ decision on the selection of participants who are eligible and entitled to the Reward shall be final and conclusive and Maxis shall entertain no correspondence, complaint, or appeal at any time during or after the Campaign Period.
    4. Please note that Maxis’ Services in connection with this Campaign are provided subject to the applicable terms and conditions (available at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/) and Mastercard accepts no liability whatsoever in connection with such Maxis’ Services.
