Eligibility

To apply for the Maxis Scholarship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Malaysian citizens aged between 18 to 23.
  • Have obtained admission into a recognised higher education institution in Malaysia or Singapore.
  • Currently enrolled in or undertaking your first year of undergraduate studies.
  • Academic qualification: Latest pre-university results with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent.
  • Language proficiency: Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Leadership qualities: Proven leadership through participation in extra-curricular activities.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mindset: Resilient, determined, and driven to achieve your ambitions.
  • Not presently holding any financial assistance from other organisations or institutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Maxis Scholarship Program

  • Open to all Malaysian students pursuing their first undergraduate studies in recognised Malaysian or Singaporean higher education institutions. Applicants are also required to possess an unconditional offer for their academic studies by the time the scholarship is awarded.

  • The scholarship is open to recognised pre-university qualifications, e.g: STPM, A-levels, UEC.

  • No, application is only open to students pursuing the first year of their undergraduate studies.

  • The scholarship is available only to students enrolled in local universities in Malaysia or Singapore that are recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) or the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

  • The Maxis Scholarship Programme currently supports a specific selection of undergraduate courses, including Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology.

  • Applicants must not hold any financial assistance from other organizations or institutions, including but not limited to JPA, Khazanah, Bank Negara, MyBrain, MARA, Petronas, or Shell.

  • Participation in the internship programme is mandatory for all scholars. This valuable experience offers insights into the industry and helps develop essential skills, while working alongside experienced professionals at Maxis.

  • Bond period is subject to the duration and country of the scholars’ studies.

  • All shortlisted candidates will be notified via email as provided in their application. Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
