Deepavali has traditionally been a time when traders and entrepreneurs see a boost in their income opportunities with all the shopping right before the celebrations. For the upcoming festive season, Maxis’ Deepavali campaign, Light Up Possibilities, puts the spotlight on over 100 local businesses from the Indian community with digital acceleration.
For each business, Maxis will be featuring radio and TV ads on Astro Raaga and various Indian channels on Astro, virtual business cards hosted on Maxis’ website that will lead shoppers directly to the businesses’ respective channels, as well as encourage support for these businesses on Maxis and Astro's YouTube, Facebook and Instagram channels. Maxis is inviting Malaysians to shop for a noble cause in support of these local businesses, while enjoying a selection of apparel, F&B, decorations, home items, arts and crafts.
“Festive seasons are always important to Maxis has it gives us the opportunity to pay special tribute to communities. As tribute to their entrepreneurial spirit and role in the economy, we are proud to play a role in providing small businesses with the opportunity to boost their livelihood through the media exposure. Blending technology and tradition, we are committed to enabling communities to always be ahead,” said Loh Keh Jiat, Chief Marketing Officer, Maxis.
Maxis is also releasing a brand film, ‘Inaivom Inaippom’, to portray how the pathway of possibilities lights up for the community when we share blessings and a special music video to be a part of the Deepavali celebrations.
In conjunction with the festive season, Maxis will be conducting a special Deepavali edition of its eKelas Usahawan programme for these budding entrepreneurs at Menara Maxis in November. eKelas Usahawan is a structured digital marketing programme to help entrepreneurs develop a stronger digital presence. It comprises a series of digital marketing workshops at no cost, with a practical and hands-on approach to equipping them with digital tools and skills to help them grow their respective business and expand their income opportunities. Meanwhile, the webinar sessions are ongoing and are open to everyone. Register at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/about-maxis/corporate-responsibility/#ekelas-usahawan
