• What is Device Guard?

  The Device Guard application is an app specially for devices with contract. It is meant to give you a peace of mind, in case of loss & theft, where you may call Maxis to lock your phone.

  In addition to that, you will receive timely reminders on your phone to help manage your bills effectively.

  For devices still within contract, Maxis may block certain applications & access to the phone if there is default on your Maxis bill/ instalment payment.

• What are the capabilities of Device Guard?

  Device Guard has the functionalities to progressively block social media applications, messaging applications & the phone itself. This will only happen if your Maxis bill/ instalment payments are defaulted.

  To help you stay current with your bill payment, the app will send notifications to remind you and help you manage your payment effectively.

• What devices are available for Device Guard?

  Currently, Device Guard is applicable for all Google Android devices sold on Maxis Zerolution and Normal Device Contract to Consumer and Business Individual customers.
  

• Can I choose not to have Device Guard installed?

  No, Device Guard is applicable for all Google Android devices sold on Maxis Zerolution and Normal Device Contract to Consumer and Business Individual customers.
  

• Is this open for all Device Contracts?

  Yes, Device Guard is applicable for all Google Android devices sold on Maxis Zerolution and Normal Device Contract to Consumer and Business Individual customers.
  

• Can I uninstall this application?

  The Device Guard is ONLY effective within the contract period of Maxis Zerolution and Normal Device Contract. During it’s effective period, un-instalment is not allowed.
  

• Can I factory reset my device?

  The Device Guard is ONLY effective within the contract period of Maxis Zerolution and Normal Device Contract. During it’s effective period, factory reset is not allowed.
  

• What if I choose to terminate my contract? Can I then uninstall this application?

  Should you choose to terminate your contract and/or complete your contract period, Device Guard will be deactivated and you can uninstall the application yourself.

• Do I have to walk-in to a Maxis store to uninstall my application?

  No. Should you choose to terminate your contract and/or complete your contract period, Device Guard will be deactivated and you can uninstall the application yourself.

• Does Device Guard access and collect my personal data on my phone?

  Do rest assured that Device Guard does not access your personal data and collect your personal data. We have conducted a series of tests to ensure that the application does not access/ collect your personal data & is not hackable by any 3rd party applications.
