Web Blocking by Regulator

The regulator may request us to restrict certain websites such as pornography and online child abuse, online gambling, intellectual property, national security, phishing sites that may cause public from financial loss and etc. As such you will not be able to visit such website. This may apply to mobile internet and fibre. To ascertain if the website is categorised as prohibited, please follow the steps stated in the next question.

You may ascertain if the website is prohibited by
- You are connected to the internet, your access to applications and web are working as normal.
- You get the 404 error when a website is inaccessible and you are able to access all other websites.
- To eliminate the probability that the website you are trying to access may be temporarily down/ inaccessible; do try again later and if the website is still inaccessible, then it may be probably blocked.

If you have confirmed that the website is blocked as per above and is very sure the website is not categorised as prohibited, you may reach out to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
