Smart Watches and Maxis Connect Watch Plan FAQ

Maxis Connect Watch is a secondary service which enables cellular connectivity for your Apple Watch GPS + Cellular and Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE. It allows you to share your mobile number, call, SMS and data from your mobile line with your Smart Watch even when your phone is not nearby or powered on.

The monthly subscription fee for Maxis Connect Watch is RM20/month.

Maxis Connect Watch allows you to share data from your mobile line.

No. There is no contract if you just sign up with Maxis Connect Watch. However, if you purchase Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE with Zerolution on Maxis Connect Watch, you will be contracted.

Sorry, international roaming is not enabled for Maxis Connect Watch. You can use your cellular watch in Bluetooth mode when roaming.

Maxis Connect Watch can be used by below devices:
- Apple Watch GPS + Cellular with OS 6.1.1 (and above) which pairs with an iPhone compatible with iOS 13.3 and above.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE which pairs with any Samsung smartphone with Android 5.0 and above.

You may sign up for Maxis Connect Watch as long as your mobile line is subscribed to the eligible rate plans.

No. You may sign up for this plan with your own smart watch or smart watch purchased from Maxis.

You may subscribe for Maxis Connect Watch as long as your mobile line is subscribed to the eligible rate plans. You may subscribe for Maxis Connect Watch with your own watch or watch purchased from Maxis.

- The step-by-step guide on how to activate Maxis Connect Watch for your Apple Watch can be found here.
- Before you begin, please make sure that your iPhone is on iOS 13.3 and Apple Watch on WatchOS 6.1.1. Your network is My Maxis and network provider bundle is Maxis 40.1 and above (on your iPhone, go to Settings/ General/ About, scroll to Network for details).
For Samsung Galaxy watch:

Just reactivate Maxis Connect Watch plan with your new mobile number and proceed using your watch as usual.

If you have an existing active Maxis Connect Watch subscription, you do not need to sign up and activate the plan on your new phone; just pair your smart watch with your new smartphone to continue enjoying the benefits of Maxis Connect Watch.

Just activate Maxis Connect Watch with your new mobile line and proceed using your smart watch as usual.
If you do not wish to use your smart watch with your previously paired mobile line, please terminate your Maxis Connect Watch plan that’s tagged to that line.

Your Maxis Connect Watch will be terminated too.

If your mobile line is suspended, your Maxis Connect Watch service will also be suspended.

To ensure that you are pairing with your selected number, just turn off the network for mobile line which you do not wish to pair your Galaxy Watch and proceed to perform pairing for Samsung Galaxy Watch and smartphone like normal.

You may continue using your device with your existing plan. No changes will be made to your plan or subscription.
