Family Plan

  • All eligible customers (new/existing) above 18 years old can sign up for Maxis Family Plan

    • Foreigner is subject to deposit of RM500/ per mobile line registered; hence it is up to RM2,000 if all 4 mobile lines are registered at one go.
    • Malaysian: RM299/399/499 Rate Plan Advance Payment is applicable. No rate plan advance payment required if customer is taking device contract (Device advance payment subject to Enhanced Credit Check (ECC).
    • Only one (1) Maxis Family Plan is allowed per customer NRIC.
  • Fibre and Home 4G WiFi are both home internet services. Maxis Family Plan Fibre offers speed upgrade options whereas Home 4G WiFi has only one (1) service option with no minimum speed guarantee.

    The availability of Maxis Family Plan Fibre is subject to your home address being fibre-ready. In the event where we are not able to provide Fibre service in your home, Home 4G WiFi will be provided as an alternative home internet solution.

  • The Maxis Family plan is a multi-line bundle which includes:

    • Up to 8x Maxis Unlimited Postpaid Mobile lines,
    • 1x Maxis Family Fibre 30Mbps (upgradable to 1Gbps) OR Maxis Family Home 4G WiFi


    With a 24-month service contract at a fixed rate. Customers will also be allowed to upgrade fibre plans and add on selected devices and home devices on Zerolution.

    The Maxis Postpaid Unlimited Bundle offers different mobile plans and fibre plans to get unlimited data, calls & SMS.

    The Maxis Postpaid Unlimited bundle also offers more flexible device ownership models on K2. 

  • Existing Maxis customers are eligible to subscribe to Maxis Family Plan. All existing services will be re-contracted for 24 months under the Maxis Family Plan.

    Existing Maxis Postpaid
    If you have any device contracts (Normal/Zerolution/Zerolution360) with your Maxis Postpaid lines moving into the Maxis Family Plan, your contract will be terminated and early termination fees will apply.

    Existing Maxis Fibre Service
    If your Maxis Fibre service is still contracted, you can upgrade to Maxis Family Fibre without any penalty charges. You will start a fresh contract period of 24 months under the Maxis Family Plan.

    Existing Free mesh WiFi
    If you have an existing Free mesh WiFi Contract, your subscription will continue under Maxis Family Plan without any penalty charges only if you subscribe to fibre speeds of 500Mbps and above. If you choose to subscribe to fibre speeds below 500Mbps, your free mesh contract will be terminated and early termination fees will apply.

    Existing Maxis Home 4G WiFi Service
    If your Maxis Home 4G WiFi is still contracted with RM1 4G Router, you can upgrade to Maxis Family Fibre without any penalty charges.

    Existing Samsung TV/mesh WiFi/Apple TV 4K Zerolution Contract
    If you have any Zerolution contracts with your Maxis Fibre or Home 4G WiFi service moving into Maxis Family Plan, your contract will be terminated and early termination fees will apply.

    Existing Maxis Watch or Tablet
    If you have any Maxis Watch or Tablet plans with Zerolution contract, your subscription will continue under Maxis Family Plan without any penalty charges. 

  • Existing Maxis Fibre Service
    If your Maxis Fibre service is still contracted, you can upgrade to Maxis Family Fibre without any penalty charges. You will start a fresh contract period of 24 months under the Maxis Family Plan.

    Existing Free mesh WiFi
    If you have an existing Free mesh WiFi Contract, your subscription will continue under Maxis Family Plan without any penalty charges only if you subscribe to fibre speeds of 500Mbps and above. If you choose to subscribe to fibre speeds below 500Mbps, your free mesh contract will be terminated and early termination fees will apply.

  • Existing Maxis Fibre Service
    If your Maxis Fibre service is still contracted, you can upgrade to Maxis Family Fibre without any penalty charges. You will start a fresh contract period of 24 months under the Maxis Family Plan.

    Existing Free mesh WiFi
    If you have an existing Free mesh WiFi Contract and you choose to subscribe to fibre speeds below 500Mbps, your free mesh contract will be terminated, and early termination fees will apply.

  • Existing Maxis Fibre Service
    If your Maxis Fibre service is no longer contracted, you can upgrade to Maxis Family Fibre without any penalty charges, but you will start a fresh contract period of 24 months under the Maxis Family Plan.

    Existing Free mesh WiFi
    If you have received the 2 FREE mesh WiFi and are no longer contracted on the free mesh WiFi, your subscription will continue under Maxis Family Plan without any penalty charges.

    1. Your Maxis Family Plan Fibre service period will continue at your new location.
    2. Your Maxis Family Plan Fibre service will be terminated, and you will be provided with Maxis Family Plan Home 4G WiFi.
  • No, your family plan can be activated prior to fibre installation. At point of family plan sign up, you will have 4 mobile lines activated and ready to use with unlimited data while we schedule your fibre installation. If fibre cannot be installed (due to unforeseen technical reasons), your home internet needs will be fulfilled by our Home 4G WiFi instead. 

  • No, you may opt to subscribe to any number up the allocated amount of additional lines as part of the Maxis Family Plan.

  • Yes, you can. Your Maxis Family Plan Fibre service will be terminated, and you will be provided with Maxis Family Plan Home 4G WiFi. Your contract period will continue.

  • Yes. We do offer Zerolution contract for Family Plan services and this is subject to eligibility check.

  • Device Zerolution

    • Up to 4 Zerolution devices (smartphone, smartwatch, tablet, TV, etc.) can be taken, however only a maximum of one (1) TV/Apple TV on Zerolution can be taken.
    • Eligibility is subject to eligibility check. And customer does not have any other Samsung TV/Apple TV 4K contract in the same NRIC.
    • Family Plan's Device Pricing on Zerolution - Please refer to the Zerolution Device Prices on Maxis Postpaid Share 48 on our Maxis Online Store.

     

  • No, only one Maxis Family Plan bundle can be registered to one NRIC.

  • No, the Maxis Family Plan is a bundled proposition that will come as one single bill under the principal line.

  • No, the Maxis family Plan is not a business package.

  • No, the Maxis family Plan is not a business package and is meant for family home usage.

  • Yes, you may either choose to transfer your existing supplementary lines into the Family Plan or take up new lines.

  • You will still be paying the total bundle price of RM 299. However, the Family Plan contract penalty will not be triggered.

    If there is any active contract attached to the Supplementary line, then the contract will be terminated and Early Termination Fee will be triggered.

  • Yes. You may add up to one (1) Additional Family Member plan for RM48 a month.

  • If you have to terminate your fibre or home 4G WiFi with your Family plan subscription, it will be considered as termination of Family Plan, customers postpaid lines have to be changed to Maxis Postpaid plans and Early Termination Fee for Family Plan will apply. 

  • Yes, you may terminate 1 device on your family plan. Termination penalty will apply on the terminated device only. Device rules are based on Zerolution rules. 

  • The Maxis Family Plan 299 comes with a home fibre and 4 mobile lines for RM299/month. This would turn out to be less than RM10/day for an average month.

  • Yes, the Maxis Family Plan will come with 5G effective 19th October 2023 and all the lines (principal and supplementary) within Family plan will enjoy 5G with no additional fee. To enjoy 5G, please ensure that

    • You are using a 5G capable device;
    • You have a 4G LTE SIM. To check, just dial *100*8*5# from your phone;
    • You have 5G settings enabled on your device;
    • You are within 5G coverage. To check, click here;
  • No, all lines under Maxis Family Plan will enjoy 5G without additional charges. 

  • Not to worry, as 5G is provisioned for your Maxis Family plan on 19th October 2023. After which, we will terminate and remove the 5G Access pass from all your lines under Maxis Family plan. You will be notified accordingly.
