Maxis e-Waste Recycling Campaign (“Campaign”) is organised and promoted by Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd (“Maxis”) in collaboration with Maxis’ e-Waste partner for customers or non-customers, who may be individuals or corporations, firms, sole proprietorships or societies (the “Participants”) to recycle their e-Waste.
    2. For the purposes of the Campaign, “e-Waste” refers to broken, non-working, used and/or obsolete electronic devices or electronic appliances (e.g. computer, flatscreen smartphone, tablet, printer or projector) that are listed as common recyclable e-Waste on the Campaign webpage and are:
      1. not bigger than 50cm (length) x 50cm (width) x 50cm (height);
      2. not heavier than 25kg; and
      3. not “scheduled wastes” as defined in the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005
      For clarity, with respect to the size of the e-Waste item, if its measurement exceeds any one or more of the specified dimensions in 2(a), it will not qualify as e-Waste for recycling under this Campaign.
    3. Participation in the Campaign is voluntary. By participating in the Campaign and/or submitting an e-Waste recycle request to Maxis, the Participant is deemed to have accepted and agreed to these Campaign terms and conditions.
    4. The Campaign mechanics are as follows: -
      1. The Participants must register with Maxis and submit an e-Waste recycle request form from the Campaign’s webpage at www.maxis.com.my/ewaste or via Maxis app for Maxis’ e-Waste partner to arrange eWaste collection from the Participants’ premises.
      2. Upon successful submission of the e-Waste recycle request form to Maxis, Maxis’ e-Waste partner will contact the relevant Participant within seven (7) days from the request submission, and:-
        1. if the number of e-Waste items is not less than three (3) units, arrange with the Participant for free e-Waste collection / pick-up service from the Participant’s premises;
        2. if the number of e-Waste items is less than three (3) , pick-up cost may be applicable, and the Participant must agree with the Maxis’ eWaste partner on the pick-up cost prior to any arrangement for pick-up and pay the agreed pick-up cost to Maxis’ eWaste partner.
      3. If the Participant selects “Pay me” at the e-Waste recycle request form, in return for the e-Waste items collected by Maxis’ e-Waste partner, Maxis’ e-Waste partner will provide cash rewards via online banking transfer or e-wallet to the Participant, details and amount of which are stated on the Maxis’ e-Waste partner’s website at https://erth.app/.
    5. Doorstep collection availability is limited to Klang Valley and Johor Bahru and such other locations as may be updated on the Campaign’s webpage from time to time.
    6. Participants are responsible to remove any SIM cards, memory card, personal data and perform factory reset on the Participants’ used electronic devices. Any request for the Partner to do the same may be subject to additional charge by Maxis’ eWaste partner.
    7. In the event of any dispute arising from this Campaign or relating to the interpretation of these terms and conditions, Maxis’ decision shall be final and binding on all parties. No correspondence or further claims will be entertained.
    8. Maxis reserves the right to change, amend and modify these terms and conditions from time to time.
    9. These terms and conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Malaysia, and each Participant irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
