Service Specific Terms & Conditions – Maxis Roaming (Consumer Business)

- The Plan: Maxis Roaming.
- Maxis Roaming Pass comprises the followings:
- 1 day Unlimited Data Roaming Pass;
- 1 day Unlimited Calls and SMS Roaming Pass;
- DataRoam Pass;
- 3 Days ASEAN Data pass;
- 7 Days ASEAN Data pass;
- 7 Days APAC Data pass;
- 15 Days Multi-countries Data pass; and
- 30 Days Multi-countries Data pass.
- We may from time to time launch different Roaming Passes or make amendments to or discontinue any existing Roaming Pass under which we provide you the Service(s) which may be subject to additional and variation to the applicable terms and conditions.
- You: Maxis’ subscribers who subscribe to any of the following postpaid plans:
- Maxis Postpaid 98, 108, 128, 158, 188, 248 and/or 368 before 15 August 2023: SSTC – Maxis Postpaid (Pre-15th August 2023) at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/products-services/mobile/postpaid;

- Maxis Legacy Plans include:

- Surfmore 50;
- Talk and Surf 1 Principal;

- Value Plus 50;
- Value Surf 1 Principal;
- Value Surf 1 Supplementary;
- Value Surf 2 Principal;
- Value Surf 2 Supplementary;
- New Standard Plan;
- Pocket WiFi;
- Pocket WiFi Pro;
- Mobile Postpaid 2GB Bundled;
- Mobile Postpaid 2GB Standalone;
- Mobile Postpaid 30GB Bundled; and
- Mobile Postpaid 30GB Standalone.
- The use of the Plan, Roaming Pass and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”) at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-consumer/, this Service Specific Terms & Conditions – Maxis Roaming (Consumer Business) (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy (“Maxis FUP”) at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/ and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/.
- Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
- Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
- We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, the Plan, Roaming Pass and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan and Service(s) at www.maxis.com.my/tnc, including changes to the Agreement. Your continuous use of the Service(s) and/or Plan (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Services and/or Plan) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Plan and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.

- You must be a Maxis’ subscriber of any of the postpaid plans as stipulated in Clause 5 above.
- The Roaming Passes are not available to you if you travel to a country or on the network operator(s) which are not within the coverage of the Plan or our Services.
- This Plan will not be available to you if you have any outstanding bills with us.
- This Plan is not applicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.

- The Roaming Pass structure and rates are as per the Appendix and as set out and published on our official website at http://www.maxis.com.my/roaming.
- The Roaming Pass, all international roaming rates and availability of countries for roaming are subject to change. As such, you should check the most current pricing and availability at http://www.maxis.com.my/roaming or Maxis app prior to subscribing to any Roaming Pass.
- International roaming charges are not part of your included value in any postpaid plans and will be charged on top of your minimum monthly spend once you have activated the Roaming Pass or where the Roaming Pass has been activated by default for you. To avoid unintended charges, you are responsible to disable roaming access on your devices.

- In respect of the voice and SMS allocated with the Roaming Pass, you acknowledge and accept that the unlimited calls and SMS applies to the following standard usage:
- Roaming mobile usage (Maxis to Malaysia ON-net and OFF-net calls and SMS, Maxis to local country calls and SMS, calls to local country fixed lines and video calls);
- Standard person-to-person calls or texts and not for any commercial and/or non-personal usage; and/or
- Non multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling, re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, bulk messaging, application-to-person communication, continuously call forwarding, auto-dialing, machine-to-machine communication (including by using your SIM card in any other devices), Cellular Trunking Units (CTUs), or any other activity we consider to be non-standard usage.
- The unlimited calls and SMS excludes premium numbers and satellite calls.
- You will be charged for making and receiving calls and SMS to other countries. International calls and SMS rate is applicable and as stipulated at https://www.maxis.com.my/lifestyle/roaming-idd/international-roaming/
- In respect of the voice and SMS allocated with the Roaming Pass, you acknowledge and accept that the unlimited calls and SMS applies to the following standard usage:

- Subject to your postpaid plan and Roaming Pass, you have unlimited quota with first 2GB internet data being uncapped speed allowance to use daily. If you exceed the first 2GB, you can continue to browse internet without excess charge at a capped speed limit of up to 1Mbps.
- Maxis will notify you when you have exhausted the daily first 2GB internet data quota.
- If you are on 1 day Unlimited Data Roaming Pass or DataRoam Roaming Pass, you may purchase or upgrade to longer validity pass such as 3 days ASEAN Data pass, 7 days ASEAN Data pass, 7 Days APAC Data pass,15 Day Multi-countries Data pass or 30 Days Multi-countries Data pass within the same day. Such purchase or upgrade is available through your Maxis app or Easy Menu *100# and accessible through your Mobile Phone or other available Devices or channels as we may inform you from time to time. Maxis reserves the right to update and/or upgrade the Roaming Pass offered from time to time.

- You may schedule the following Roaming Passes in advance for up to fourteen (14) days via Maxis app:
- 3 Days ASEAN Data pass;
- 7 Days ASEAN Data pass;
- 7 Days APAC Data pass;
- 15 Days Multi-countries Data pass; and
- 30 Days Multi-countries Data pass.
- If you are a Maxis postpaid principal line holder, you may schedule Roaming Pass for your active principal line and supplementary line(s).
- If you are a Maxis supplementary line user, you may schedule Roaming Pass for your supplementary line only.
- Upon successful scheduling of your Roaming Pass, you will receive a SMS from us and/or notification in Maxis app that the Roaming Pass has been scheduled. Note that successful scheduling does not mean or guarantee successful activation of Roaming Pass. You are responsible to check if your scheduled Roaming Pass has been successfully activated via Maxis app and/or SMS notification issued by us. No charges is incurred by you at the point of successful scheduling of your Roaming Pass.
Activation of Scheduled Roaming Pass
- All scheduled Roaming Passes will be activated at 6.00 a.m. (Malaysia time) of the selected date. We will issue a notification to you via SMS for successful or failed activation of Roaming Pass at 6.00 a.m. (Malaysia time) on the scheduled date.
- Activation of scheduled Roaming Pass is based on best effort basis.
- Charges will only apply upon successful activation of scheduled Roaming Pass.
- In the event activation of your scheduled Roaming Pass fails for any reasons, there will be no charges on the scheduled Roaming Pass. In this case, you may purchase your desired pass via Maxis app or Easy Menu *100# for immediate usage.
- At the time of activation of the scheduled Roaming Pass:
- if the selected line for scheduled Roaming Pass is barred or suspended, the activation of scheduled Roaming Pass will not be successful.
- if the selected line has another same Roaming Pass(es) which is active during the said period, the later one will not be activated.
Cancellation
- You may cancel the scheduled Roaming Pass via Maxis app without any charges imposed on you any time provided cancellation is made at least two (2) hours prior to successful activation. This means that you may cancel the scheduled Roaming Pass before 4.00 a.m. (Malaysia time) on the scheduled date. Note that if you cancel the scheduled Roaming Pass on or after 4.00 a.m. (Malaysia time) on the scheduled date, Maxis will impose charges for the scheduled Roaming Pass onto your bill and you are, and will be, responsible and liable for the charges of the scheduled Roaming Pass notwithstanding your cancellation.
- In the event a principal line holder purchases scheduled Roaming Pass for principal line and supplementary line(s) in a single order, any cancellation made by the principal line holder will automatically cancel the scheduled Roaming Pass for the supplementary line(s) altogether.
- In the event you failed to cancel the successfully scheduled and subsequently activated Roaming Pass and/or did not use the activated scheduled Roaming Pass for any reasons, you are required to make payment for the charges of the Roaming Pass which you have activated. Any dispute in this regard will be handled like any other bill enquiry.
- You may schedule the following Roaming Passes in advance for up to fourteen (14) days via Maxis app:

- We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Roaming Pass and/or Plan for such period of time as we deem fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Roaming Pass and/or Plan if your usage:
- shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our network or our roaming partner’s network;
- is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
- is not in accordance with Maxis FUP; or
- is for commercial/non-personal purposes.
- We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Roaming Pass and/or Plan for such period of time as we deem fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Roaming Pass and/or Plan if your usage:
Appendix – Maxis Roaming (Consumer Business)

This Appendix sets out the structure and rates of Roaming Passes as per Clause 14 of the SSTC:
1. 1 Day Unlimited Data Roaming Pass
