Misi Jelajah Digital (MJD) 2024 Empowers Students with GenAI and ChatGPT Skills!

Maxis has successfully concluded the latest edition of Misi Jelajah Digital (MJD) 2024, a nationwide program empowering Malaysian students with next-generation digital skills through an exciting exploration of Generative AI (GenAI). Under this year’s theme, “GenAI for Good,” the program brought AI education to the forefront, encouraging youth to leverage AI for positive, real-world impact.

Beginning in late August at SM Teknik Kuala Lumpur, Maxis’ eKelas team launched a series of roadshows covering Penang, Kelantan, Selangor, Sabah, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor. Over 3,000 students from 70 schools participated, engaging in hands-on workshops that went beyond theory to explore practical applications of AI. A core focus was on prompt engineering in ChatGPT, where students learned how to unlock the potential of AI to fuel their creativity, enhance their learning experience, and address community challenges.

With the competition phase now concluded, a record-breaking 7,300 student submissions have poured in from across the nation, each showcasing how GenAI can be harnessed for social good. As the judging process unfolds, Maxis is eagerly looking forward to celebrating the brilliant ideas and forward-thinking solutions that these young minds have created.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners as we honour Malaysia’s young digital pioneers and recognise their vision in building a future powered by technology and guided by purpose.
