Maxis announces Chairman transition

The Board of Maxis Berhad (Maxis) is pleased to announce the appointment of Datuk Johan Idris as Chairman of Maxis, effective 1 March 2025. Datuk Johan was previously the Managing Partner of KPMG in Malaysia, member of KPMG Asia Pacific Board, member of KPMG International Global Council and President of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Datuk Johan currently serves as the Chairman (Non-Executive) of KPMG in Malaysia, Board member of the Capital Market Compensation Fund Corporation of Securities Commission Malaysia, Board member of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Senate member and Board of Trustees of International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, as set-up by Bank Negara Malaysia and Council member of Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has over 35 years of working experience, a proven leadership track record and extensive experience across various industries and sectors, both local and global.
The Board extends its gratitude to Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin as the Company has greatly benefited from her leadership as Interim Chairman since 1 July 2024. Dato’ Hamidah will continue her role as Independent Non-Executive Director.
