Hotlink, Malaysia's no. 1 prepaid service from Maxis Berhad (Maxis), today announced its partnership with The Red Warriors (TRW), the Kelantan Football Team, as its Title Sponsor at a launch ceremony which also saw the official unveiling of TRW's new team jersey. With this partnership, Hotlink and the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA), is developing a series of exciting programmes for Hotlink customers. For a start, the first 500 customers who top up will have the opportunity to get free tickets to TRW's home matches of the Malaysian Super League, FA Cup and Malaysia Cup. Other home & away engagement programmes are also being planned in the coming weeks.
At the event held at the Kelantan Trade Centre in Kota Bharu, Maxis was represented by Tan Lay Han, Head of Integrated Marketing, GTM & Customer Management, and Mazlan Mokhtar, Head of East Coast Region; KAFA was represented by YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Annuar Haji Musa, its President; and TRW Sdn Bhd was represented by Kevin Balasingam, its Chief Executive Officer. Also present at the event were representatives from TRW Fan Club.

Hotlink's partnership with TRW reflects Maxis' continued commitment in the area of sports and talent development. It has been involved in sporting events such as the broadcast sponsorship of the Barclays Premier League since 2007, the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the Euro 2012. It also hosted Cabaran Piala Maxis in the East Coast states in 2010 to nurture football at the grassroots level. In 2011, it introduced its Maxis Sports Ambassadors programme with the hopes of inspiring other Malaysians to strive for excellence at the highest level, by providing each Ambassador with mobile devices with wireless broadband packages. Recently, the Company sponsored the KRP Charity Football Match 2012 organised by Kelab Rakan Pendengar (KRP), in which 10% of the collection from the sale of match tickets were donated to Yayasan Sultan Kelantan.
