Maxis and UiTM ink industry-academia digitalisation upskilling collaboration
- MOU to boost students’ digital expertise and technology exposure via knowledge and experience sharing

Maxis and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) today announced a three-year partnership to foster a more dynamic connection between academia and industry to benefit current and future UiTM students and graduates.
The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony by Chief Executive Officer of Maxis, Goh Seow Eng and the Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Professor Datuk Dr. Shahrin bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin.
The MoU focuses on several working areas: (1) Career development: Empowering UiTM students with in-demand digital skills through skill development programmes and educational outreach, (2) Knowledge sharing: Knowledge exchange and skills enhancement by Maxis guest speakers and trainers on campus, and (3) Electronic waste (eWaste): A joint programme to promote environmental sustainability through e-waste management on campus utilising Maxis’ ongoing consumer e-waste management programme.
The partnership also extends beyond academics and skills development, fostering co-curricular activities such as eSports. The cumulative MoU programmes create a platform for UiTM students to develop well-rounded skillsets that foster peer collaboration and unlock career enhancing opportunities.
These joint initiatives underscore our commitment to providing Malaysian youths with unparalleled opportunities for learning, growth, and professional development.
