eKelas Celebrates Schools' Achievements in Misi Jelajah Digital with Laptop Donations and Online Learning Workshops

We recently rewarded 9 schools that achieved the highest participation in eKelas’ STEM competition, Misi Jelajah Digital 2023 (MJD), with 90 refurbished laptops. To help them make the most of this reward, we also conducted workshops for students and teachers on how to use the eKelas portal for their learning needs. Between April and May, we visited 6 schools in Pahang and Negeri Sembilan: SMK Seri Jengka, SK Kg Acheh, SMK Air Putih, SMK DUHA, and SK Intan Perdana. We had a wonderful time interacting with more than 800 students and teachers who attended these workshops.

Low Peng Wei, a teacher from SJKC Sin Min, Kedah said, “I’m happy that the MJD competition held by Maxis eKelas has succeeded in fostering my students' interest in producing animation. Although the students did not win in this competition, with our high participation, we qualified to win laptop contributions from Maxis. With the additional laptops, our students do not have to wait for their turn to use the laptop during PdP. We are deeply grateful for the refurbished laptop contributions.”

While Jalila Binti Jamar, a teacher at SK Intan Perdana, Negeri Sembilan said, “I would like to thank Maxis for making the dreams of teachers and rural children like us a reality. The success of receiving 10 refurbished laptops from our participation in the MJD competition is one of the sweetest memories in my career as a STEM teacher. This is a success created together with STEM teachers and the school's animation team.”

Through eKelas, we aim to inspire more students to explore STEM subjects and develop their skills for the future. We also want to empower teachers with the tools and resources they need to deliver engaging and effective lessons. By making digital learning more accessible to the community, we strive to bridge the digital divide and promote digital inclusion for all.
