Maxis and China Mobile International forge strategic partnership to boost 5G and digital innovation in Malaysia

Maxis, Malaysia’s leading integrated telecommunications operator and China Mobile International (CMI), a leading global telecommunications operator have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the China Mobile Southeast Asia Cooperation Conference in Bangkok.
This MoU establishes a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating 5G initiatives and leveraging the combined strengths of both companies to foster innovation and drive growth in the telecommunications sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Gao Tongqing, Executive Vice President of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd.; Mr. Goh Seow Eng, Chief Executive Officer of Maxis; Mr. Wang Hua, Chairman and CEO of CMI; and Mr. Tan Cheng Peng, Acting Chief Technology Strategy Officer of Maxis. Their presence highlights the strong commitment of both organisations to this collaboration and their shared vision for the future of telecommunications.
