In the spirit of Christmas, Maxis recently partnered with the Kuching Community Social Support Centre (CSSC) and Kuching Food Aid to bring festive cheer to more than 100 beneficiaries, including senior citizens and the homeless.

Held at Kuching CSSC, this year’s celebration was themed “Season of Hope: Sharing Joy, Building Connections”, with an array of activities to spread joy and goodwill among those in need. The activities included Christmas carolling, cookie decoration and bingo before wrapping up with a festive lunch with all the beneficiaries and Maxis mSquad volunteers who joined in for the Christmas festivities.

In keeping with Maxis’ festive CSR tradition, the beneficiaries each received a Christmas basket with ready to cook items, and Hotlink SIM packs and top ups. Maxis also contributed to Kuching CSSC in support of their mission by providing mattresses for the centre’s homeless transit facility and dry food aid for its food bank.

Kuching CSSC serves vulnerable groups such as the homeless, victims of domestic abuse or addiction, and others facing social issues. Meanwhile, Kuching Food Aid provides essential food aid to underprivileged communities in Sarawak facing food insecurity, including single mothers with young children, the sick, the elderly and people with disabilities.
