Hotlink teams up with Universal Music Group and Viu to present Joe Flizzow in ‘This is Johan’ autobiographical documentary

Hotlink teams up with Universal Music Group (UMG) and Viu to present ‘This is Johan’, a two-part documentary on the evolution of Malaysian rapper Joe Flizzow -- tracing his journey in the music industry while paving the foundation of hip-hop in Malaysia.
The documentary is a no-holds-barred telling of the origin story of Johan Ishak before becoming publicly known Joe Flizzow. It showcases his passion, struggle, success, failures and his #BikinSampaiJadi spirit that has and continues to inspire many Malaysian fans and hip-hop followers.
The tri-party project involving Hotlink, UMG, and Viu was also established in an effort to support the growth of the Malaysian music industry and inspire youths nationwide to attain success in their own respective fields.

Joe Flizzow, who has been a Hotlink ambassador since 2022, shared that filming the documentary didn't feel like he was in a documentary as there were many scenes that were candidly shot.
