Maxis announces Chairman transition
Maxis today announced that Tan Sri Mokhzani bin Mahathir has decided to step down as Chairman of the Board of Maxis Berhad (Maxis) effective 30 June 2024. Tan Sri Mokhzani served as Director of Maxis since its listing on Bursa Malaysia in 2009, and as Chairman of the Board since 22 April 2021.

The Board is currently assessing potential candidates and expects to complete the process and make an announcement on the new Chairman at the appropriate time. Meanwhile, the Board has appointed Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin, Independent Director as Interim Chairman of the Board effective 1 July 2024. Dato’ Hamidah, who was appointed as a Director of Maxis in 2014, is an experienced and well-respected HR leader in Corporate Malaysia. She currently serves as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
