Follow these steps to learn how to transfer your eSIM easily
What You Need
What To Do
On your new iPhone/iPad, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Set up Mobile Service
Select the mobile number that you would like to transfer the eSIM from and tap Continue.
Tap on Transfer Number on your screen. Meanwhile, on your previous iPhone/iPad, tap on Transfer SIM to confirm eSIM transfer to your new iPhone/iPad
After eSIM transfer process confirmation, you will be redirected to Maxis eSIM Transfer mobile webpage. Enter your account owner ID number and email address. Check the T&C box and tap on Continue. Upon successful validation, you will receive an SMS OTP on your previous iPhone (if iPad, you will receive an SMS OTP on your principal line). Key in the OTP received on the screen and tap Continue.
You will see an “eSIM transfer successful” screen when your eSIM transfer request has been successful. Tap on Done. Meanwhile, the cellular plan on your previous iPhone/iPad will no longer be available. Ensure that both your new and previous iPhone/iPad is in close proximity to complete the process. Once you see the “Mobile Plan Setup Complete” screen, the eSIM transfer process has completed.
Launch your Watch app. Select the new paired Apple watch > Mobile Service
Tap on Set Up Mobile Service
Tap on Transfer Maxis Plan
You will be directed to a Maxis eSIM Transfer mobile webpage. Enter your account owner ID number and email address. Check the T&C box and tap on Continue.
Upon successful validation, you will receive an SMS OTP on your mobile phone. Key in the OTP received on the screen and tap Continue.
You will see an “eSIM transfer successful” screen when your eSIM transfer request has been successful. Tap on Done.
Tap on Continue on the “Installing… Will Be Ready Soon” screen. Data connectivity will be available on your new Apple watch once installation is complete.
On your new iPhone/iPad, go to Settings > Mobile Data
Tap on Convert to eSIM and Convert Mobile Plan on the next screen.
When the pop up screen appears, tap on Convert to eSIM. Once the “Finish Setting Up Mobile Plans” screen appears, tap on Continue.
You will now be redirected to Maxis eSIM Transfer mobile webpage. Enter your account owner ID number and email address. Check the T&C box and tap on Continue. Upon successful validation, you will receive an SMS OTP on your iPhone (if iPad, you will receive an SMS OTP on your principal line). Key in the OTP received on the screen and tap Continue.
You will see an “eSIM transfer successful” screen when your eSIM transfer request has been successful. Tap on Done. Meanwhile, the cellular plan on your previous iPhone/iPad will no longer be available. Ensure that both your new and previous iPhone/iPad is in close proximity to complete the process (if transferring to different device). Activation of eSIM is successful once the status turns from Activating to On.
