eKelas Empowers Student to Reach for His Dreams
Under the vast, open sky of a fishing village in Kelantan, 15-year-old Amirul, dreamt of a future beyond the horizon. Growing up in a family of 10, money was tight and sometimes his days were filled with doing odd jobs to earn pocket money. Yet, within Amirul burned a quiet spark – a thirst for knowledge and determination to excel in his studies.
He wanted extra tuition to support his studies but the financial burden of paying tuition fees loomed large. He was then introduced to eKelas which provides free live tutorials by experienced teachers and education content as well as fun and vibrant learning activities.
Fuelled by newfound support and unwavering determination, Amirul excelled in his studies, scoring straight As in his PT3 exam and awarded the eKelas Anugerah Gemilang student grant worth RM1,200, deposited into his Sijil Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional (SSPN) account in 2019.
Today, Amirul stands tall, a testament to the power of education and the transformative potential of the eKelas programme. He is now pursuing his studies in microbiology in UITM. His journey, from a fishing village to the university halls, is a powerful example of how a CSR program like eKelas can empower future generations and bridge the gap between potential and reality.
