Maxis continues to support communities impacted by floods
  • Food boxes were distributed in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications to families impacted by the recent floods in Kelantan
  • Initiative is part of Maxis’ RM2.2 million monetary and in-kind contributions for flood relief and recovery

Maxis, Malaysia’s leading integrated telco, remains committed to supporting flood-impacted communities through its contributions for relief and recovery efforts. As part of this commitment, Maxis has contributed RM2 million to the Government’s Dana Ihsan MADANI. An additional RM200,000 has been allocated for in-kind aid comprising essential supplies, food boxes, free WiFi, mobile SIM cards and top ups.

Most recently, Maxis contributed 500 food boxes for distribution in Kampung Baru Nelayan, Tumpat, Kelantan in collaboration with the Department of Information (JaPen) of the Ministry of Communications.

The handover of food boxes was held at a ceremony in Tumpat with the affected families, which was attended by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, Datuk Mohamad Fauzi bin Md Isa, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications, and representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Maxis.
