Maxis, Malaysia’s leading integrated telecommunications provider, has announced the expansion of its collaboration with Nokia to deliver advanced data centre networking solutions to enterprises, hyperscalers and over-the-top (OTT) players. This partnership involves a joint go-to-market initiative to equip data centre operators, hyperscalers, and businesses with more scalable, secure, and automated networking capabilities to fully leverage AI and cloud technologies.

By combining Maxis’ high-performance connectivity with Nokia’s AI-powered Data Centre Fabric, this collaboration enables data centre operators to enhance efficiency, automation, and resilience in their cloud environments. In line with growing AI and cloud adoption, this partnership will help optimise data centre operations, support AI-driven applications, and improve access to secure, low-latency digital infrastructure.

The collaboration was formalised at a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony at the Malaysia Pavilion of the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain witnessed by Yang Berhormat Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications Malaysia. The partnership demonstrates the commitment of Maxis Business, Maxis’ B2B arm, to ensure businesses are future-ready, supported by the right connectivity and connectivity-adjacent solutions around cloud, internet of things (IoT), managed services and cybersecurity.
