A special iftar with Badan Amal Nur Zaharah
Held at the Badan Amal Nur Zaharah (BANZ) centre in Bentong, Pahang, the iftar gathering brought together 70 attendees, including orphans and underprivileged children, the centre’s employees, and Maxis volunteers. The event was also attended by Bentong Member of Parliament, YB Young Syefura Othman.
The event was filled with meaningful activities to spread some festive cheer ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. Maxis provided essential furniture and bedding, distributed gift vouchers, and led a gotong-royong effort to refresh the centre’s facilities and communal spaces. The evening concluded with iftar and Tarawih prayers.

“I commend Maxis for organising this meaningful event with the children from Badan Amal Nur Zaharah in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. During the festive season, it is especially important for us to give back to those in need. Initiatives like these are close to my heart, creating a positive impact by strengthening our bonds and providing essential support to the local community. I hope more companies will participate in programmes like this,” - YB Young Syefura Othman
“Through our initiatives, we aim to create meaningful connections and uplift the communities we serve. These moments remind us that festive celebrations are more than just tradition—they bring people together and foster a true sense of belonging. Maxis wishes all who celebrate, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.” - Mariam Bevi Batcha, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Maxis
